On February 13th and 14th the staff will arrive at 2 in the morning and dip 6,000 fresh strawberries in chocolate. The owner, Jacklyn Sams, demonstrated the process for making 'heart shaped boxes' and 'Coco Bears with conversation hearts'.

Bartram Trail senior football players John Watts, Andrew Parker, Damon Lawrence, Charles Bailey, Xavier Brewer, Grant Harner, Taylor Johnson, and Tyler Tayse signed their letters to play at various colleges during a special ceremony at the school Wednesday, Feb. 6. Wednesday was the first day all eligible seniors across the country could sign letters of intent, and is known as National Signing Day.

Nease NJROTC Hoedown

On Feb. 2, the Nease High School NJROTC had its first ever Hoedown!
The event was held at Joyful Meadows Farm located off State Road 13 in St. Augustine. Joyful Meadows is owned by Dr. and Mrs. Loren Murray. Their
son, Parker, is a sophomore in the NJROTC program at Nease. There were more than 100 in attendance including cadets, instructors and chaperones. The evening festivities included a hayride, barbeque dinner catered by Country Caterers Bar-B-Q, a bonfire and square dancing. Gary Murphy of Lake City did the square dance calling/teaching.

England's Leeds Rhinos defeated Australia's South Sydney Rabittohs 26-24 during "The Australia Day Challenge" Rugby League exhibition match at UNF's Hodges Stadium. Over 12,000 fans from 41 states and 11 countries attended the event despite the rain and cold.
