Forrest High School hosted their annual wrestling invitational featuring the top teams in North Florida and beyond. This year's event was no exception as Suwannee HS edged out Clay and Ridgeview to take the 1st place team trophy. Garrett Soileau from Clay HS was voted Outstanding Wrestler for the tournament by the Coaches.

The Northwest Business Council once again hosted a Christmas party for clients of the ARC of St. Johns at Westminster Woods on Julington Creek in Fruit Cove Dec. 6, 2007. The clients were treated to a delicious holiday meal and met a special guest -- Santa Claus -- who handed out gifts to each one. The NWBC, which is affiliated with the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, has been hosting the ARC Christmas party for more than a decade.

Jacksonville Jaguars record breaking running back Fred Taylor went to Hickory Creek Elementary on Tuesday as part of the NFL's Bring a Player to School day. First-grader Jasmine Lorenzo won the honor of hosting Taylor at the school as part of a program sponsored by the NFL and JC Penny. Taylor spoke to a racous student body before heading outside with Lorenzo and her classmates for football, fun and fitness.
